Corrections, versions and change log

Substantive changes leave a dated record. We log factual corrections, clarified conclusions, new evidence, regulatory changes and retractions with the affected page and reason.

The change log records what changed, when, why and whether the change altered an evidence verdict. Each affected page shows its current review date. A substantive edit does not disappear behind a new dateModified value.

Yianni Kiromitis is the correction authority and manages this record. Scientific, clinical and laboratory changes still require review within the relevant remit.

Current change log

6 September 2026 · Four research summaries published

New evidence records assess the GLP-1 impurity laboratory study (Kopp et al.) and the retatrutide medical-record preprint (Murugadoss et al.). These studies were absent from the index before this release; their records now show the claim being assessed and the study limits.

The injury-recovery page now includes Tewari et al.’s sports-medicine review. The BPC-157 recovery and pain record now includes Luansritisakul et al.’s chronic-pain review. These additions were not in the earlier versions. Both state their abstract-access limits. The original claim verdicts remain unchanged.

Scientific sign-off by Eleni Kiromitis and clinical sign-off by Dr Stavroula Nikitopoulou were confirmed on 6 September 2026. Publication-day checks retained the retatrutide paper’s non-peer-reviewed status. The evidence index now contains 32 published records; relevant profiles and safety pages link to the additions.

11 August 2026 · Updates and investigations desk expanded

The FDA peptide compounding record was substantially refreshed after scientific and clinical review. It now states the current FDA category position, separates the PCAC recommendation from a final agency decision and records the unchanged UK position.

A new dated enforcement record was published at Paradigm Peptides sentencing: forged COAs and mislabelled products. It distinguishes DOJ-established facts from CBS and BBC reporting and keeps the SARM-to-testosterone finding separate from peptide products. No standing compound evidence verdict changed.

10 August 2026 · Pre-publication evidence-library audit

Thirty evidence records were rechecked before publication. Incorrect or indirect source descriptions were corrected on the Epitalon telomere, Semax stroke, thymosin alpha-1, ARA-290 and MGF records. Two obsolete MHRA links were replaced, two claim-family links were corrected and Melanotan II tanning confidence changed from Moderate to Low because the direct human study involved only three participants. No claim verdict changed.

All 30 records received a new Sources checked date and a matching dateModified. Eleni Kiromitis completed scientific review and Dr Stavroula Nikitopoulou completed clinical review on 10 August 2026. The records were subsequently made indexable after the technical launch gates passed.

Which changes receive a public entry?

The log separates the reason for a change from its effect. A corrected date and a retracted conclusion do not carry the same weight.

Factual correction

A statement, figure, source attribution or date was wrong.

Clarification

Wording changed because the original scope or caveat could be misunderstood.

New evidence

A relevant study or data source changed the evidence basis or verdict.

Regulatory change

Legislation, guidance, authorisation status or sport status changed.

Retraction

A source or conclusion was withdrawn and the dependent content was reassessed.

What will each change-log entry show?

Each entry carries the change date, affected URL, change type, previous statement or conclusion, revised wording, reason and effect on the evidence verdict. Where a source changed, the entry names the new or withdrawn source.

The affected page keeps its original publication date and receives a new modified or reviewed date when the content has been reassessed.

Which edits do not need a substantive entry?

Spelling, punctuation, formatting and broken-link repairs do not receive a public entry when they leave the meaning unchanged. If an edit could alter how a reasonable reader understands the conclusion, it is logged as a clarification or correction.

How can a reader report a suspected error?

Yianni Kiromitis receives and decides correction requests as managing editor. Email info@whatsinthevial.com with the affected URL, disputed statement, supporting source and your preferred contact details.

Public correction route

The public inbox is monitored for correction, source and privacy requests. Do not send medical records or ask for personalised medical advice.

How does a correction affect the evidence library?

The current record remains the canonical finding. When new evidence or a correction changes the verdict, the record shows the new review date and links to the dated explanation. Readers can then compare the reason for the change without relying on an obsolete record.

Why we do not silently rewrite a verdict

A returning reader needs to know whether the evidence changed or whether the publisher corrected an error. The public record separates those events and preserves the reason for the revision.

Return to the current finding

The change log remains an archive. The evidence library remains the source for the current claim-level verdict.
